BEYOND THE STANDARD KITCHEN
We design and build kitchens as pieces of furniture — calm, architectural and made to age with dignity over decades.
Everything is made in our Cornwall workshop by a small, skilled team, using materials and methods chosen for their longevity rather than convenience.
Cabinetry
All of our cabinets are built from birch plywood, including the backs and structural elements.
It’s a material selected for its strength, stability, and ability to be repaired and adapted over time — allowing our work to endure, not just function.
Finishes
All finishes are applied in-house using water-based lacquers and low-VOC oils.
The result is a durable, refined surface with minimal environmental impact and a healthier home environment.
Built Without Constraints
We work from raw materials, not standard components.
This allows complete freedom in proportion, scale, and detail — so each project reads as a considered piece of furniture, not a collection of units.
Design
Our work is known for a calm, timeless quality.
Each project is shaped by its setting and the people who live with it — whether that leans classic, contemporary, or somewhere in between.
Collaboration
We work with architects, interior designers, and private clients across the UK.
From coastal homes to large contemporary builds and smaller, characterful spaces — we take on projects for their merit, not their size.
Workshop
We’re based near Marazion in West Cornwall, where everything is built in-house.
Clients are always welcome to visit.
Pricing
As a guide, cabinetry typically starts from:
Small kitchens: £15,000–£20,000
Medium kitchens: £22,000–£30,000
Larger projects: £30,000+
Wardrobes from £7,000–£10,000
Final costs depend on materials, finishes, and level of detail.
We provide fixed pricing once a design is agreed.
Our work often extends beyond the kitchen — into wardrobes, dressing rooms, and fitted furniture throughout the home.
How It Works
We begin with a conversation, often before plans are fully resolved.
Each kitchen is designed around the space, not standard sizes, allowing everything to feel properly fitted and considered.
Once agreed, it’s made in our workshop from raw materials, then installed by the same team who built it.

One team, from first conversation to final installation.
Here are some testimonials from Satisfied customers
"What has been on my mind, is wanting to write you to tell you how much I love my kitchen! It’s now been more than a year! And every day, every morning, every evening, I exclaim aloud how beautiful it is! And so easy, functional ,as well as so beautiful. Not only do I have the most beautiful kitchen in the world, but it brings together the whole house, the Japanese doors in the hallway, the upstairs Tatami, and the wood floors ( that you also helped me to do!) So, it’s like having a new house!
So, I feel tremendous gratitude to you for your creativity, skill, heart, persistence and patience with it all, and going the extra mile."
Mrs Arlene Audergon
"It's not often the final product you receive is better than you could have imagined. The walnut cabinetry have transformed our living room. We could not be happier and I would challenge anyone to find better craftsmanship"
Mr Nigel Carr
"Thank you so much for all your work and dedication in designing, making and installing my desk, as well as restoring the old school room. I am delighted with what you have achieved: I have a wonderful place at which to work and my grandson loves using the original child’s desk, now fully operational after many years. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail have also contributed to a really successful outcome."
Mr Jeremy Sharp
"Ross is a total wizard with wood! He has crafted two wonderfully unique wardrobes for me, having carefully listened to my ideas and coming up with designs infinitely more glorious! The workmanship is superb and it was a pleasure having the Seasaw crew working at my house. Highly recommend!!! Thank you."

About Us
SeaSaw is an independent workshop based in Cornwall, designing and building bespoke kitchens and furniture in Birch ply and hardwood.
We believe that if a tree has taken 80–120 years to grow, we have a responsibility to build something that is worthy of it — and that lasts.
We source the best hardware and materials we can find, and support British suppliers wherever possible. We regularly collaborate with architects and contractors, but also design in-house and work directly with clients.

Ross — founder
I’ve built in volume production, so I understand precision, workflow and repeatability. SeaSaw is where I bring that discipline together with my background in the arts — into slower, more intentional work, where proportion, material honesty and longevity lead the decisions.
